In a strategic move designed to bolster the future of pari-mutuel betting, the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey, alongside Winners Bayonne Off-Track Wagering, has solidified its commitment to technological advancement by extending its contract with Global Tote. The comprehensive extension encompasses a continued collaboration wherein Global Tote will supply its cutting-edge pari-mutuel betting technology, enhancing the wagering landscape with its sophisticated Quantum tote engine and the operational excellence of cloud-based hosting.
The eagerly anticipated extension cements Global Tote’s pivotal role in the operation and support of Meadowlands’s betting infrastructure. With its comprehensive Software as a Service (SaaS) betting solution, Global Tote not only delivers top-tier system operations managed directly from its operations centre in New Jersey, but it also ensures continuous on-site operational support, underlining its commitment to offering seamless technical functionalities devoid of any interruptions.
The partnership renewal promises a significant technological boost for Meadowlands, which can look forward to the deployment of Global Tote’s latest BetLine Series wagering terminals. The upgrade includes terminals designed for multiple wagering interfaces: the BetLine TSST, tailored for both teller point of sale and self-service betting, and the BetLine SST designed for full-service betting experiences. Additionally, Meadowlands will benefit from the incorporation of the compact and efficient BetLine Compact Teller terminal.
Raj Sanjanwala, Global Tote’s Chief Operating Officer, exuded confidence as he proclaimed the significance of the extended partnership, saying, “Global Tote is delighted to extend our valued partnership with Meadowlands Racetrack and Winners Bayonne OTW.” He accentuated the strength of their enduring relationship and the confidence Meadowlands has placed in Global Tote. He further emphasized, “We are excited to deliver more advancements over the next ten years to help enhance the experience of their customers and drive growth for their business.”
This announcement comes on the heels of BetMakers’ strategic realignment earlier in the year, which saw a revitalization of both its business structure and its senior management team. Having emerged from its restructuring phase, Global Tote is poised for a stable future, with a slightly leaner workforce than anticipated, retaining 430 dedicated full-time employees.
As Meadowlands and Global Tote embark on a decade-long journey together, Jason Settlemoir, the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Meadowlands, echoed the sentiments of excitement and optimism. Settlemoir lauded the arrival of Global Tote’s new BetLine wagering terminals, anticipating the way they will revolutionize betting operations both for staff and patrons. “Global Tote has demonstrated its commitment to offering betting solutions that help us deliver that unparalleled experience, and we look forward to a very productive ten years,” Settlemoir remarked.
The extension is not only a testament to the trust and reliability forged between the two entities, but also showcases a shared vision for advancement in the horse racing world. In its latest quarterly update, BetMakers confirmed the continuation of its cost reduction strategies after experiencing positive outcomes, hinting at a strategically prudent and financially astute approach moving forward.
As the industry braces for a wave of innovation, the enduring collaboration between Meadowlands Racetrack and Global Tote represents a leap toward modernizing the domain of horse racing wagering, ensuring that aficionados of the sport will benefit from top-notch technology and an elevated betting experience for years to come.
