In an unprecedented move set to transform the online poker landscape, Caesars Entertainment and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) have launched a groundbreaking initiative that merges player pools across Michigan, New Jersey, and Nevada. This initiative is powered by an upgraded version of WSOP Online, formerly known as WSOP.com, which promises to deliver an enhanced gaming experience with a variety of new features and improvements.
As announced in a recent press release, WSOP Online now includes four-table capabilities on mobile devices, allowing players to multitask and participate in multiple games simultaneously. The platform also boasts new multi-flight re-entry tournaments, providing more opportunities for players to qualify and compete. Additionally, the upgrade brings a host of other enhanced features designed to improve the user experience.
For existing players in New Jersey and Nevada, the transition to the new platform will require the creation of new accounts. However, players need not worry about losing their progress or rewards. The WSOP assures that all existing balances, reward points, and tournament tickets will seamlessly transfer to the new WSOP Online accounts. This transfer process is expected to be completed within 72 hours following the platform’s launch on May 28. To ensure a smooth transition, players from these two states will also need to reinstall the WSOP Online app.
“This platform upgrade is long overdue and is a big win for our players,” stated Danielle Barille, Vice-President of Online Poker at Caesars Digital, in the press release. “We’re thrilled to bring Michigan players into the fold with Nevada and New Jersey, resulting in a better experience, more value, and the biggest prize pools of the year.”
The timing of the WSOP Online launch coincides with the opening of registration for the World Series of Poker at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, set to begin on June 1 and run through July 21. During this period, WSOP Online will host 30 online bracelet events, with an official gold bracelet up for grabs every Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
. This provides a significant incentive for players to engage with the new platform and compete for prestigious WSOP accolades.
In addition to the bracelet events, WSOP Online will also feature “satellite” events that provide qualifying opportunities for land-based tournaments. These satellite events start on June 18 and June 29 and will include five high-roller hybrid tournaments. The final six players in each of these events will have the unique opportunity to compete live in Las Vegas, beginning on July 14.
Adding to the excitement, the live WSOP Main Event kicks off on July 3, with the Final Table scheduled for July 16-17 at the Horseshoe. Last year, Daniel Weinman made history by becoming the first American to win the event, taking home a staggering $2.1 million (£1.6 million/€1.9 million).
To celebrate the launch of WSOP Online, the platform is offering a special promotion: any player who deposits funds between May 28 and June 29 will gain free entry into a $100,000 No Limit Hold’em event. This generous offer is likely to attract a significant number of players, both new and existing, eager to take advantage of the opportunity to compete for substantial prizes.
The integration of player pools across Michigan, New Jersey, and Nevada is expected to revolutionize the online poker scene, creating larger and more competitive prize pools. This move not only enhances the player experience but also consolidates WSOP Online’s position as a leading platform in the world of online poker. As players from these three states join forces, the future of online poker looks brighter than ever, promising a new era of excitement and competition.
