The announcement was made at a media event in Singapore, which featured surprise appearances by beloved characters such as Buzz Lightyear from “Toy Story,” Spiderman, and Elsa from “Frozen,” offering a sneak peek into this enchanting new venture.
Sarah Fox, Vice President and Regional General Manager for Asia at Disney Cruise Line, shared her excitement, stating, “At the center of this experience will be beloved Disney characters with stories of imagination, fantasy, and discovery. Captain Mickey will embody the spirit of Disney Adventure.” This year, Disney Cruise Line celebrates its 25th anniversary, having launched their inaugural voyage in 1998.
The Disney Adventure, a 2,08,000-gross-ton ship, is expected to accommodate approximately 6,700 passengers and around 2,500 crew members. Seamlessly blending design, entertainment, and technology, the vessel will be divided into seven immersive experience zones. Laura Cabo, Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, explained, “The ship is laid out like a treasure map with experiences, where magic meets the sea.” Each of the seven zones is designed around Disney storytelling.
The first zone, Disney Imagination Garden, serves as the emotional heart of the ship. It features an enchanted garden that runs through the vessel, where passengers may encounter characters flying around. Wayfinder Bay, an open-air oasis under the sun where the sky meets the sea, serves as a poolside retreat inspired by the Pacific Islands-artistry of Moana.
Toystory Place is built as a playland with themed food venues and water play areas, bringing characters from Pixar’s “Toy Story” to life. Disney Discovery Reef invites families to shop and dine alongside their favorite aquatic characters set in nautical storylines.

San Fransokyo, inspired by “Big Hero 6,” is designed to exude a vibrant street market hosting shops, cinemas, and more. Marvel’s larger-than-life characters will unite at Marvel’s Landin, a dedicated zone brimming with adventure and excitement for all ages.

Disney Adventure’s layout and design aim to evoke a sense of exploration and enchantment, making every corner of the ship a new discovery.
