The movie followed Vicky, an easily frightened ladies’ tailor portrayed by Rajkummar Rao, who falls for a mysterious woman played by Shraddha Kapoor. Vicky’s best friends, Bittu and Jana, played by Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee respectively, added comic relief to the otherwise tense atmosphere. In ‘Stree 2’, the residents of Chanderi find themselves confronting a new terror—a headless male monstrosity named Sarkata. Pankaj Tripathi’s Rudra Bhaiya returns as the sagacious paranologist to provide crucial exposition. According to Rudra, Sarkata is the arch-nemesis of Stree and has re-emerged with a sinister objective: to brainwash the men of Chanderi in a manner reminiscent of modern-day influencers.
This dreadful turn of events once again calls for Vicky and his friends to step up and save their town. The trailer hints at Vicky reuniting not just with his old comrades, but also with his mysterious love interest, who now sports a ponytail that might hint at her dark connections.

‘Stree 2’ is slated for release on August 15, 2024, and will be produced by Maddock Films in partnership with Jio Studios. The Stree films belong to a larger horror-comedy universe crafted by Maddock Films, which also includes movies like ‘Roohi’, ‘Bhediya’, and the most recent hit, ‘Munjya’.
