Sharvari Wagh is making waves in Bollywood with her latest project, ‘Vedaa’, an intense action thriller where she stars alongside renowned actor John Abraham. As she promotes the film, Sharvari has opened up about the grueling preparation that went into her role, including undertaking vigorous boxing training—an endeavor she had never previously attempted.
Sharvari, known for her athleticism since childhood, shared her thoughts on her rigorous training regimen with ANI, an Indian news agency. “I’ve always been very athletic ever since I was growing up. I used to play a lot of sports, but boxing is something that I’ve never done before,” she explained. The actress recalled how exhausting the training was initially: “Even one hour felt very tiring. But by the time shooting started, I was already training for three hours nonstop, and I wanted to do more.”
Delving deeper into her experience, Sharvari highlighted the life lessons gained from the sport. “I believe that like every sport, once you learn it, you also learn life lessons. I had a lot of fun boxing. It’s a new sport, and anything that challenges your brain is fun. It was hard but worth it, and it’s also helping me in everything I do next,” she said, expressing a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
Sharvari’s 2023 has already proven to be a remarkable year as her films ‘Munjya’ and ‘Maharaj’ have received favorable responses. Reflecting on this, she stated, “When people appreciate a film and performances, it’s a big validation. When audiences show love towards actors, especially actors like me, it empowers me to choose my next project. It can be overwhelming sometimes, but I’m very, very grateful for the year that it has been.”
When asked about taking on diverse roles in her career, Sharvari emphasized the importance of variety for her professional growth. “I don’t know whether new actors take risks or not, but I will say that doing different films, different genres, I mean films like Vedaa, is very important for my survival. For someone who’s not from the industry, for someone who had a fair share of auditions…
.I think that films like Vedaa are very important for my survival…I’m very, very hungry as an actor to doing different roles,” she explained, underscoring her passion and determination in the highly competitive industry.
In line with the film’s release, the song ‘Holiyaan’ from ‘Vedaa’ was unveiled, offering a modern take on the classic Holi track ‘Holiyaan Mein Ude Re Gulal.’ The song features Sharvari in dynamic dance sequences and vibrant Holi celebrations, exuding festive energy and excitement. The song’s catchy beats and a modern rap section infuse a contemporary flair, making it a fitting addition to Holi festivities.
Adding to the excitement, John Abraham, famed for his action-packed roles, makes a notable appearance in the song. Towards the end, he is seen battling foes, showcasing his rugged demeanor and heightening the song’s thrilling elements.
