TV Actors Share Heartwarming Raksha Bandhan Celebrations

Mumbai: Television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi have given us a glimpse into their plans and sentiments surrounding the festival of Raksha Bandhan this year. This age-old celebration of brother-sister bonds holds a special place in the hearts of these actors, despite their bustling schedules.

Ankit Gupta, known for playing Rannvijay in ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ shared his unique way of commemorating the day. “This year, I will be shooting on Raksha Bandhan. However, if I get a day off or manage an early wrap, I plan to celebrate it with my brother as I don’t have a sister. Our bond has grown remarkably strong over the years,” Ankit expressed. Reflecting on his cherished moments from the past, he narrated, “Being the youngest, I have always been showered with love. One of my fondest memories of Raksha Bandhan is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis that had watches on them. I simply adored those.”

Rutuja Bagwe, who brings the character Vaiju to life in ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ revealed her plans for the festival as well. “Although I don’t have a brother, my sister ties me rakhi every year. If she manages to get a day off work, she will join me on set, and we will celebrate it there. Annually, I celebrate with my sister and cousins. I prefer rakhis made of chandan, and I always aim to gift my sister something she loves,” she said, visibly excited about the impending celebrations. Further delving into their relationship, Rutuja added, “The happiness on her face when she gets her gift is priceless. Though my younger sister, she often exhibits qualities of an older sibling, and as her elder sister, I look after her like a mother.

Ankit Raizada, who plays Aman Singh Rajpoot in ‘Advocate Anjali Awasthi,’ plans to make Raksha Bandhan extraordinary this year, despite his tight schedule. “Most likely, I will be shooting for my show, but if we get a day off, I will surely celebrate it with my cousin sisters as I have a real brother. This Raksha Bandhan will be special as I’ll be surprising one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she has been longing for. She’s a football player, and this gesture is about creating those small yet significant moments of happiness,” he shared with a sense of anticipation.

Aditi Tripathi, known for her portrayal of Deepika in ‘Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,’ also shared her enthusiasm for the festival. “Raksha Bandhan is always very special, especially for sisters. We not only receive promises of protection but also numerous gifts. I look forward to being showered with love this year. Like every year, I will be celebrating with my brother, and our bond grows stronger each time. We are like Tom and Jerry; we fight but can’t stay away from each other. Every day, we learn something new from our relationship, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have him in my life. These memories are treasures I hold on to,” she enthused, echoing the sentiments of many sisters celebrating the festival.
