European Film Showcase in India Returns: EUFF 2024 Announces Exciting Lineup


The much-anticipated European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is set to enthrall audiences once again as it returns for its 29th edition, bringing a collection of 26 distinguished films from Europe to Indian shores. Set to celebrate the rich cultural connections between Europe and India, this prestigious festival will grace the cities of New Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad with its cinematic offerings. Schedule to commence on November 7 and run through November 16, EUFF 2024 will present screenings at renowned venues including the India Habitat Centre, Instituto Cervantes, and Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan in New Delhi.

This year, the festival’s lineup will showcase an array of films presented in 31 different languages, offering a unique lens into the diverse landscape of European cinema. The lineup boasts several India premieres, giving audiences the first opportunity to experience critically acclaimed European films such as “La Chimera” from Italy, “Afire” from Germany, “An Irish Goodbye” from Ireland, “Animal” from Greece, and “Restore Point” from the Czech Republic.

Among them are Yile Yara Vianello, star of the Italian film “La Chimera,” and Tomas Vengris, the creative mind behind “Five & A Half Love Stories in an Apartment in Vilnius.” The festival will also feature Maltese producer Pedja Miletic, who will be present for the screening of the historic drama “Blood on the Crown.”
