The much-anticipated crime drama ‘The Buckingham Murders’ is creating waves in the entertainment industry as the makers recently unveiled a new poster featuring Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film, directed by Hansal Mehta, is already generating a lot of buzz, especially after the release of its riveting teaser.

In an exciting update for fans, director Hansal Mehta took to Instagram to share the latest poster of the film. Dressed in a formal shirt, matching blazer, and pants, Kareena Kapoor Khan is seen walking down a corridor, exuding an air of authority and determination. The new poster magnificently showcases the “boss lady” vibes Kareena is bringing to her role in the film.
Mehta’s Instagram post was accompanied by a caption that read, “DS Bhamra is on her way to unfold the secrets of #TheBuckinghamMurders.” This adds further intrigue to the film, deepening the curiosity and excitement among fans.
The teaser, which was released earlier, has already captivated audiences. The film’s screenplay has been penned by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films, the film is backed by the production houses of Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan herself, marking her debut as a producer.
Adding to its allure, Kareena revealed in an earlier interview with Variety that her character in ‘The Buckingham Murders’ draws inspiration from Kate Winslet’s role in the critically acclaimed series ‘Mare of Easttown.
.’ She mentioned, “I love ‘Mare of Easttown’ and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I’ve really been dying to do. So we’ve moulded a little bit on those lines. She plays a detective cop in that.”
According to Variety, the film follows the story of Jasmeet Bhamra, a detective and grieving mother, who after losing her own child, dives into the investigation of a young boy’s murder in Buckinghamshire. As she delves deeper, she discovers that nearly everyone in this small town is a potential suspect, leading her down a treacherous rabbit hole of hidden secrets and lies.
‘The Buckingham Murders’ is set to hit cinemas on September 13, 2024. The ensemble cast includes talents like Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen, each adding their unique touch to the narrative.
