Luv Sinha Reveals the Real Reason for Missing Sister Sonakshi Sinha’s Wedding

The marriage of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha to fellow actor Zaheer Iqbal, held on June 23, 2024, became one of the most buzzed-about events in the entertainment industry. While celebrity weddings are often characterized by opulent ceremonies and delight among family members, Sonakshi’s nuptials had a different narrative. The primary talking points involved speculations about familial discord and the conspicuous absence of her twin brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, from the event.

In a series of tweets on X (formerly Twitter), Luv Sinha finally broke his silence regarding his absence from the wedding, shedding light on the underlying reasons. He retweeted an article originally published by the Telegraph, which scrutinized some controversial business dealings of the groom’s father and his entanglements with an Enforcement Directorate (ED) inquiry. Sharing a snippet of the article, Luv stated, “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.”

The article snippet delved into disturbing elements of the groom’s family background, suggesting that several news stories deliberately avoided discussing the groom’s father’s proximity to a prominent politician whose legal issues with the ED had mysteriously vanished. It also hinted at the groom’s father’s activities in Dubai, which were not legally above board.

Luv’s tweets clarify that his decision to skip the wedding was driven by his unwillingness to be associated with people involved in dubious activities. He emphasized that his family always comes first, and running an online campaign against him based on false premises wouldn’t alter his stance. In his own words, “Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first.”

Coincidentally, Kussh Sinha, the other absent brother, had a different tale to tell. In an exclusive interview with News18, Kussh confirmed that he indeed attended the wedding but was not prominently visible due to his private nature. He expressed concern over the proliferation of misinformation and advertisement spins. “I have already seen people publishing inaccurate information,” Kussh noted.

. He explained how the misleading reports originated from unnamed sources quoted by leading media portals. “But a few houses have my images [from the night],” he added, asserting his presence at the event.

“This is a sensitive time for the family,” Kussh continued, speaking to the emotional strain such rumors have placed on them. “It’s just that I am a private individual and I am not seen that much but that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t there. I was present and I have only good wishes for my sister and will always wish her well.”

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had been in a relationship for over seven years before tying the knot. Their intimate wedding ceremony took place in Mumbai with only close friends and family invited to witness the special occasion. Despite the event’s private nature, the couple shared beautiful snapshots from their wedding day on Instagram, allowing fans to partake in their joy.

In her posts, Sonakshi radiated happiness, showcasing a series of elegant photographs that highlighted moments from her wedding. However, despite the visible joy on social media, backstage whispers and the visible absence of her brothers cast a shadow over the celebrations.

Sonakshi and Zaheer chose a low-profile wedding, in contrast to the usually grand Bollywood weddings. Yet the unfoldings made waves, particularly due to the angles reported by various news agencies. Both the bride’s parents were reportedly happy and participated wholeheartedly in the wedding festivities, contradicting rumors of discontent within the family. However, the same couldn’t be said for her brothers whose differing versions stirred the media pot.

In summary, Luv Sinha’s absence was a statement against associating with individuals of questionable repute, while Kussh Sinha’s presence, albeit less visible, aimed to support his sister privately. Amid what should have been a universally celebratory occasion, differing family approaches to attending—public abstention by Luv against private support by Kussh—highlighted deeply rooted principles and the pressures of public perception.

This wedding, marked by public scrutiny and private tensions, has underscored the complexities that even glittering Bollywood families face behind the dazzling external appearances.
