I said it was because of the subject and the character I played in it,” he elaborated.
This achievement is not Malhotra’s first brush with national recognition. His first National Award came in 1998 for his compelling performance in the film ‘Fakir’. Spanning nearly four decades, his illustrious career includes over 55 films across various languages and participation in more than 16 television shows.
