Potential Delay for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ to Sidestep Box Office Clash with ‘Singham Again’

Mumbai: Manoj Desai, a seasoned film exhibitor, has recently indicated that the much-anticipated release of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” might be delayed by a week to avoid a head-on box office clash with Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster in the making, “Singham Again”, starring the dynamic Ajay Devgn. In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Desai elaborated on the situation surrounding the Kartik Aaryan-fronted “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” and its potential competition with “Singham Again”.

“It is a big clash,” Desai remarked, conveying his apprehensions after watching the extensive five-minute trailer. “Looking at the star cast and the five-minute trailer, I am myself having cold feet on what will happen. Let’s see,” he added, underscoring the hefty expectations from both franchises aiming for the same festive weekend.

Desai also mentioned the ongoing discussions among the producers of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3″ about a potential shift in the film’s release schedule. “I have also heard that there is a chat with the producers and the release of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ might get postponed by a week. I don’t know how true that is. It is the public who knows everything,” Desai stated. These discussions have reportedly originated from within the industry, though Desai remains unsure of their validity.

As anticipation builds around this box-office juggernaut clash, questions arise about which film will emerge victorious. Desai emphasized, however, that it’s the audience which will ultimately dictate the fate of the films, with variables such as the matinee show timings playing a crucial role.

Meanwhile, the “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” marketing campaign is gaining momentum, with the film’s trailer set to launch in the illustrious Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur. This event will feature the impressive star cast including Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, and Vidya Balan. The nostalgia for the original installment, which saw Vidya Balan enchant audiences as Manjulika, is sure to stir excitement for her return to the character’s enigmatic and chilling role.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” promises to enthrall fans with Vidya Balan reprising her haunting role as ‘Munjulika’, alongside Kartik Aaryan’s character ‘Rooh Baba’. The film, set for a theatrical release around Diwali on November 1, 2024, is eagerly anticipated by moviegoers and fans of the franchise. The narrative unfolds with Rooh Baba delving into a haunted mansion in Kolkata, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown with the vengeful spirit, Manjulika.
