TV Stars Ankit Gupta Rutuja Bagwe Ankit Raizada and Aditi Tripathi Share Raksha Bandhan Celebrations

Mumbai, August 14, 2024 – As the festival of Raksha Bandhan approaches, renowned television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi have shared glimpses of their upcoming celebrations and the special bonds they cherish with their siblings.

Ankit Gupta, known for his role as Rannvijay in the hit Star Plus show “Maati Se Bandhi Dor,” expressed his excitement about the festival despite his busy shooting schedule. “This year, I’ll be shooting on Raksha Bandhan, and if I get a day off or pack up early, I’ll celebrate it with my brother. I don’t have a sister, so my bond with my brother has become even more special and stronger over the years.” Gupta reminisced about his childhood memories, particularly fondly recalling the rakhis with watches tied by his cousin sisters. “Being the youngest, I’ve always been showered with love. One of my fondest memories of Raksha Bandhan is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis with watches; I adored those.”

Meanwhile, Rutuja Bagwe, who plays Vaiju in the same show, has unique plans for the festival. “I don’t have a brother, but my sister ties me rakhi every year. If she gets an off from work, she’ll come to the sets, and we’ll celebrate it there. Every year, I celebrate this festival with my sister and cousins. I prefer tying rakhi made of chandan, and I always give my sister a gift of her choice,” Bagwe shared with a smile. She further elaborated on her bond with her sister, emphasizing the joy and happiness she derives from their interactions. “The happiness on her face is something I wait for and am elated with. Though being my younger sister, she sometimes shows traits of an elder one, and I, being the elder one, take care of her like a mother. This is a special bond we share and make memories for life.

Ankit Raizada, portraying Aman Singh Rajpoot in the Star Plus show “Advocate Anjali Awasthi,” also shared his plans for Raksha Bandhan. “Most probably, I will be shooting for my show on Raksha Bandhan, but if we get a day off, I will celebrate it with my cousin sisters, as I have a real brother.” This year, Raizada has planned a special surprise for one of his cousin sisters, who is a football player. “This year’s Raksha Bandhan is going to be even more special as I’ll be surprising one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she has been wanting for a long time. It’s these little moments of happiness that we live for and cherish,” he said, highlighting the significance of such personal gestures in strengthening sibling bonds.

Aditi Tripathi, affectionately known for her role as Deepika in “Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,” expressed her excitement about Raksha Bandhan. “The festival of Raksha Bandhan is always very special, especially for sisters, as they receive not only promises of protection from their brothers but also numerous gifts, and I intend to be showered with them. I cannot wait to see what my brother has got for me,” Tripathi revealed with anticipation. She also reflected on her relationship with her brother, comparing their dynamic to the iconic duo of Tom and Jerry. “Like every year, I’ll be celebrating this festival with my brother, and with each year, my bond has evolved with him. We are like Tom and Jerry; even if we fight, we cannot stay away from each other. With each new day, there is something new that we learn from one another, and I am elated to have a brother like him in my life; these are memories to always hold on to.”

The actors conveyed their excitement and heartfelt sentiments as they prepared to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, reflecting the essence of sibling love and devotion. Each of them highlighted the deep emotional connections they share with their siblings, showcasing the festival’s significance in their lives.

As millions of brothers and sisters across India prepare to honor their unique relationships this Raksha Bandhan, the stories shared by these television stars serve as a reminder of the beautiful bonds that the festival celebrates – bonds that go beyond the threads of rakhi to encompass love, care, and a lifetime of shared memories.

The beloved shows, “Maati Se Bandhi Dor,” “Advocate Anjali Awasthi,” and “Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,” where these actors bring such joy and entertainment to the audience, air on the popular television channel Star Plus, bringing families together every day, just as the festival of Raksha Bandhan does.
