Mumbai: Renowned television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi have given us an inside look into their plans to celebrate Raksha Bandhan this year, revealing personal anecdotes and family traditions that make this festival significant for them.
Ankit Gupta, who is widely recognized for his portrayal of Rannvijay in the popular show “Maati Se Bandhi Dor,” shared his plans for the festive day. “This year, I will be shooting on Raksha Bandhan,” he mentioned, “but if I manage to get a day off or finish early, I’ll make sure to celebrate it with my brother since I don’t have a sister. Over the years, my bond with my brother has become incredibly special and stronger.”
He reminisced fondly, “Being the youngest in the family, I’ve always been showered with love. One of my favorite memories of Raksha Bandhan is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis that had watches. I adored them so much.”
Rutuja Bagwe, who essays the role of Vaiju in “Maati Se Bandhi Dor,” also shared her plans for the festival, which will be marked by another day on set. “Although I don’t have a brother, my sister ties me a rakhi every year. If she gets an off from work, she’ll visit me on the sets, and we will celebrate there. Every year, I celebrate Raksha Bandhan with my sister and cousins. I prefer tying rakhis made of chandan and always give my sister a gift of her choice,” Rutuja shared.
She added, “I eagerly await the happiness on her face when she receives her gift. Although she is my younger sister, sometimes she behaves like an elder one, and I, being the older sibling, take care of her like a mother. This intricate bond we share is something we cherish and create memories for life.”
Ankit Raizada, known for playing Aman Singh Rajpoot in “Advocate Anjali Awasthi,” spoke about his plans and mentioned that work might keep him busy too. “This year will probably see me shooting for ‘Advocate Anjali Awasthi.
.’ If we get a day off, I will definitely celebrate Raksha Bandhan with my cousin sisters since I have a real brother to share the occasion with.”
He shared an exciting surprise he has planned, “This Raksha Bandhan is going to be even more special as I’ll be gifting a jersey to one of my cousin sisters. She’s been wanting it for a long time as she is a football player. Little moments of joy like these are what we live for and make our celebrations worthwhile.”
Aditi Tripathi, famously known for her role as Deepika in “Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,” echoed the sentiment that the festival holds a unique significance for sisters. “Raksha Bandhan is always very special for sisters, not only for the promises of protection from their brothers but also for the numerous gifts they receive. I intend to be showered with gifts and cannot wait to see what my brother has in store for me,” she said.
“Every year, I look forward to celebrating this festival with my brother. Our bond has evolved over the years; we are like Tom and Jerry—always bickering yet inseparable. Each new day brings new lessons from each other, and I am grateful to have a brother like him in my life. These are memories I will hold onto forever,” Aditi shared with a warm smile.
The show, “Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,” airs on Star Plus, providing viewers with a heartwarming look into familial bonds, much like the bonds shared by its cast in real life.
