TV Stars Share Joyous Raksha Bandhan Traditions and Memories

Mumbai: Television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada, and Aditi Tripathi recently opened up about their plans and cherished memories associated with the festival of Raksha Bandhan for this year.

Ankit Gupta, known for his role as Rannvijay in the show ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ shared his excitement and plans for the day despite his busy shooting schedule. “This year, I will be shooting on Raksha Bandhan. However, if I manage to get a day off or wrap up early, I’ll celebrate it with my brother. Over the years, having no sister has only strengthened my bond with my brother, making it even more special and stronger,” Ankit expressed warmly.

Ankit reminisced about his fond memories, highlighting the special moments spent with his cousin sisters. “Being the youngest, I was always showered with love. One of my fondest Raksha Bandhan memories is when my cousin sisters used to tie rakhis with watches on them; I adored those,” he fondly recalled.

In the same vein, Rutuja Bagwe, who portrays Vaiju in ‘Maati Se Bandhi Dor,’ also shared her plans for Raksha Bandhan. Rutuja mentioned that although she doesn’t have a brother, she celebrates the festival with her sister. “This year, I will be shooting again. My sister, who ties me rakhi every year, will come to the sets if she gets a day off from work, and we’ll celebrate right there. Every year, I look forward to this festival to be with my sister and cousins. I prefer tying a chandan rakhi and always give my sister a gift of her choice,” she explained.

Rutuja explained the deep bond she shares with her sister, commenting, “The happiness on her face is something I eagerly wait for every year. Although she is younger, she often showcases aspects that give off elder-sister vibes. Despite being the elder one, I take care of her like a mother. This unique relationship we share creates memories for a lifetime.”

Ankit Raizada, who plays Aman Singh Rajpoot in the show ‘Advocate Anjali Awasthi,’ echoed similar sentiments regarding his Raksha Bandhan plans.

Ankit highlighted how this Raksha Bandhan is set to become even more memorable for him. “This year is special because I plan to surprise one of my cousin sisters with a jersey she has been wanting for a long time. She is a football player, and I believe such moments of little joys and surprises are what we live for,” he added.

Aditi Tripathi, known for her portrayal of Deepika in the show ‘Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua,’ expressed her excitement for the festival as well. “The festival of Raksha Bandhan holds a special place, especially for sisters, as they receive not just promises of protection from their brothers but also numerous gifts. I can’t wait to see what my brother has in store for me this year,” Aditi shared enthusiastically.

Reflecting on her relationship with her brother, Aditi said, “Every year, I celebrate this festival with my brother. Our bond has grown stronger and more profound with each passing year. We are like Tom and Jerry – constantly bickering, yet inseparable. With every new day, there’s something new we learn from each other. I am truly elated to have such a brother in my life. These moments and memories are something to hold onto forever.”
