In a significant adjustment to its executive leadership landscape, EveryMatrix has announced a strategic move as Stian Hornsletten, one of the company’s co-founders, transitions into a pivotal role. Hornsletten is set to occupy the position of driving in-house game development and spearheading third-party content partnerships starting 1 February.
A seasoned strategist and an instrumental figure in the history of EveryMatrix, Hornsletten was at the helm as CEO when the company first made its foray into the gaming industry back in 2008. With a legacy of leadership roles including executive chairman and executive director, he went on to adopt the Chief Operations Officer role in November 2019, showcasing his adaptiveness and visionary outlook.
Before his journey with EveryMatrix, Hornsletten demonstrated his entrepreneurial acumen by co-founding BetonBet in January 2001, setting the stage for what would become a successful career in the online gaming and betting domain.
The newly minted games role comes as a testament to his ambition to infuse fresh dynamism within the company. EveryMatrix CEO, Ebbe Groes, expresses profound gratitude and credits Hornsletten for his foundational contribution to the inception of the company. “If it wasn’t for Stian, there would not be an EveryMatrix,” Groes remarks, reflecting on a time 15 years ago when an idea over drinks translated into the birth of the business. He adds, “He wanted to take on a new challenge within the business to grow our games offering. He has mine and all the company’s full support. I’m certain he will immediately take it to another level, bringing enormous energy, innovation and passion to the team.”
As Hornsletten readies to apply his energies to his new role, EveryMatrix assures that the announcement of a new Chief Commercial Officer will follow in due course, ensuring the wheels of progress continue to turn.
This appointment emerges as the second notable recruitment for EveryMatrix within the span of a single week. The company also welcomed Nikolina Gabelica, a veteran from the Croatian Lottery, to helm the position of head of lottery. With over two decades of experience, Gabelica’s extensive background encompasses roles such as director of the business development and marketing division, equipping her with valuable insights into the lottery sector.
Gabelica displays enthusiasm for her new venture, envisioning the integration of her 20-plus years of experience with EveryMatrix’s vision of progress and innovation. “EveryMatrix’s modular, API-driven solutions are ideal for global lotteries looking to launch or expand their digital presence,” she declares, articulating her eagerness to share her expertise with customers at the highly anticipated ICE 2024 event.
This strategic shuffle in key positions underscores EveryMatrix’s commitment to their ever-expanding global footprint in the gaming industry. With Hornsletten’s transition and Gabelica’s incorporation, the company seems poised to harness a diverse blend of legacy knowledge and new perspectives to steward the company into the future—one where EveryMatrix continues to redefine the paradigms of the gaming and digital lottery space.
