Games Global completes purchase of Super Group B2B division

On this day, February 7th, a significant shift occurred in the gaming industry as Games Global finalized a transaction with Super Group, marking a full year since the agreement to purchase Super Group’s B2B division. While the financial intricacies of the transaction remain behind closed doors, the evolution of Games Global’s business strategy through this acquisition is evident to industry onlookers.

This strategic move is set to streamline Games Global’s entrance into the robust U.S. market, furnishing the company with the capability to interface directly with operators within the country, bypassing typical market entry barriers. The division acquired, known as DGC B2B, boasts activity across a spread of U.S. states that include Pennsylvania, Iowa, New Jersey, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Virginia, Ohio, and Louisiana. This geographical footprint offers Games Global instant access to a significant portion of the American gaming sector.

Super Group’s transaction with Games Global comes shortly after its own acquisition of the business in January 2023. Super Group had initially entered into the agreement back in January 2022, passing on the rights of the well-known Betway brand within the U.S. landscape to its new owner.

Games Global, though a relatively fresh face in the market, arrives armed with an armory of gaming content that boasts a network of 40 exclusive studios. Moreover, its portfolio consists of an array of over 1,300 proprietary games. These offerings are complemented by its extensive progressive jackpot network, suggesting significant competitive potential in the international gaming sphere.

Walter Bugno, CEO of Games Global, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the completion of the acquisition. He iterated the company’s strategic positioning for a debut in the U.S. market, emphasizing the move as a natural step towards realizing their global aspirations in the gaming industry. He stressed, “This move not only strengthens our global position, but it also allows us to further innovate and deliver incredible experiences to operators and their players.”

Meanwhile, the CEO of Super Group, Neal Menashe, expressed satisfaction in bringing the sale to fruition. With the completion of the sale, Super Group plans to redirect its efforts towards nurturing global B2C growth. Menashe acknowledged Games Global as a “valued long-term partner,” expressing confidence in the newfound stewardship of DGC’s B2B division under Games Global’s aegis. His parting words to Games Global were of good wishes for the company’s future endeavors.

The gaming industry, known for its fast-paced evolution and technological advancements, now looks on as Games Global places its pieces on the global gaming chessboard. This acquisition is not simply a business transaction; it is indicative of the larger-scale maneuvers taking place in a sector where partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions frequently redraw the competitive landscape.

This recent development signals Games Global’s readiness to compete in the lucrative U.S. market, a key battleground for digital gaming enterprises. The significance of direct cooperation with operators cannot be understated, as it opens avenues for bespoke gaming experiences catered to a diverse audience across multiple regulatory environments.

As the realignment settles, all eyes will be on Games Global and its subsequent moves as it navigates the complex, yet promising terrains of the global gaming industry. With a powerful blend of content, innovation, and now strategic positioning, the company aims to transcend boundaries and redefine gaming experiences for operators and players alike. The culmination of this transaction is much more than a mere change in business ownership; it heralds a new chapter in the chronicle of international gaming evolution.
